Explore Jamie's community engagements: school visits, beach clean-ups, and support for local charities.

Bringing Biggle-Dink to local schools

One of Jamie's favourite things to do in the community is visit local schools to share the world of Biggle-Dink. Combining stories with hands-on activities, such as colouring in or 'Design-a-Friend', always goes down well with the children.

If you work at or represent a school in north Norfolk, Broadland, or Norwich, and would like to arrange a visit from Jamie then please get in touch. There is no charge to schools for this.

Proud to be a Cromer Junior School Aspiration Partner

Since early 2024, Jamie has been invited to visit the Year 4 children at Cromer Junior School as one of their Aspiration Partners. The programme is designed to introduce pupils to different industries and professionals which gives them an insight into different careers.

Jamie is very proud to be an active member of this group and plans annual visits which gives each group of children the chance to enter a Creativity Competition. The winner of this competition has their entry turned into a real book.

The Beach Clean Club

The first Beach Clean Club was held at the beginning of August 2025, and if you follow Jamie across social media you will have seen the wonderful posts and reactions!

It was amazing having so many families and individuals turn up to help clear litter from Cromer beach and the surrounding promenade area. To commemorate the inaugural Beach Clean Club event, custom keyrings were engraved by the brilliant Burbidge's in Cromer - these were handed out to those who braved the wind and attended the pick.

For all future dates of organised litter picking events, be sure to follow biggle.dink on Facebook and Instagram.

Supporting North Norfolk Foodbank

In February and July 2025 Jamie organized special raffles in aid of the North Norfolk Foodbank. The competitions had a twist though - you couldn't buy a ticket with money. Raffle tickets were handed out in exchange for goods donated to the foodbank from their wish lists.

The cause was supported by lots of amazing local businesses who donated wonderful prizes.

With so many people entering the competitions, we were able to provide the foodbank with 378kg of much needed donations to help support their vital work for the benefit of local people.

A special mention for Cheverton Printers

Cheverton Printers in Cromer have been the leading supplier for lots of the local events that Jamie has organised and attended. From printing books and promotional leaflets, bookmarks and posters, and more - their service, and the quality of their work, has been second to none. Make sure to visit their website to find out more about them.

£2,671.42 raised for Nelson's Journey!

A project that started in November 2023, the Big Feelings book was created to support the amazing work of Nelson's Journey. They are the child bereavement charity in Norfolk and since starting in 1997 they have helped thousands of children and young people following the death of a significant person.

Not only did sales of this book raise vital funds for their work but copies were also be gifted to the young children they support to help them understand their own big feelings.

The book was available online, as well as at: the gift shop on Cromer Pier, Roys of Wroxham, Jarrolds department store in Norwich, the Walled Garden Community Shop in Plumstead, and at Nationwide Building Society in Sheringham.

Integral to the whole effort was our five amazing Norfolk sponsors - Yellow Brick Mortgages, Sanders Coaches, Cromer Pier, Orchard Toys, and Dann's Farm. Without their generous support this project simply wouldn't have been as big as it was. The initial printing production ended with 750 books, thanks to their sponsorship.

It's not just about the books!

Jamie finds it hard to say no, especially when it comes to the local schools in Cromer! He's even been known to dress up in the festive season to help out at Suffield Park Nursery - Ho Ho Ho!
